Why might the visible edge be incomplete?
EPA names wood, drywall, carpet and furniture as materials that can remain wet and develop mold after flood exposure. The principle is to ask which materials were actually evaluated, not to assume a flood-cleanup finding applies unchanged to a small fixture leak.
What should a drying record explain?
Ask the provider which locations and materials it checked, why an item is proposed for drying or removal, and what observation supports completion. Do not pull up floor coverings, open a ceiling or handle a wet outlet to gather proof yourself. A written record allows the later repair scope to be compared with the drying scope.
Stay away from the affected area, do not touch electrical switches, outlets or appliances near water, and call a professional. If anyone is in danger, leave the area and call 911.
Does this page certify that drying succeeded?
No. A generic time estimate, photograph or calculator result does not establish conditions inside one wall or floor. The floor-drying guide focuses on layers, while the ceiling guide focuses on overhead sources. Ask qualified professionals for an explanation tied to your property.
Calls go to voicemail, not a live provider. Messages are recorded and transcribed after the greeting. You can email us instead.
